A sophisticated take on feminine volume, the Astell has intricately braided hand smocking on the flared sleeves. The stand collar ends in a tie at the back of the neck for extra detail.

This item is a limited edition piece from the Merlette x Kurozome Rewear upcycling collaboration which was created in an effort to give new life to pieces from our archives.

Based in Kyoto, the 40-year-old company uses an ancient technique of 'shinkuro' to achieve a 'deep black' over-dye processing. The black dye takes to each fabric and design detail differently and the result is a one-of-a-kind piece highlighting the embroideries and threads that contrast the dyed fabric.
