Merlette

The Xanica top is based on an elegant inverted V-shape, framing the face with a soft ruffle and offering extended shoulder coverage. The yoke features intricate hand smocking that flows into a loose fit throughout the body. 

This item is a limited edition piece from the Merlette x Kurozome Rewear upcycling collaboration which was created in an effort to give new life to pieces from our archives.

Based in Kyoto, the 40-year-old company uses an ancient technique of SHINKURO to achieve a 'deep black' over-dye processing. The black dye takes to each fabric and design detail differently and the result is a one-of-a-kind piece highlighting the embroideries and threads that contrast the dyed fabric.
