Read on to find out more and get styling tips from each one.

SISSY CHACON, L.A. BASED STYLIST AND FOUNDER OF THESORT.CO

Q: What makes Merlette denim so special for you?

A: Merlette denim fits my waist to hip ratio really well. I like how all the styles hug my waist but aren’t too tight in the hips and thighs. Also, the details like the M embroidery are very nice.

Q: How are you planning to style your Merlette denim?

A: I’m styling the shorts with tall boots and a big blouse strategically buttoned to reveal the cute waistband details. I’ll accessorize with a gold medallion necklace and sculptural earrings to make sure the look is polished and doesn’t lean too casual or boho.

Q: What denim trend are you excited for, looking forward to in 2024?

A: As much as I’m still loving my big baggy jeans and low rise denim, slipping into the high waist, form-fitting BEACON jeans changed the way I carry myself and that felt like a nice shift.

Q: What's your favorite iconic denim moment?

A: Definitely Brooke Shields saying, “Nothing comes between me and my Calvins.” And any moment in which Caroline Bessette Kennedy was paparazzied wearing denim.

ALEXIS BADIYI, N.Y.C. BASED STYLIST AND CREATIVE

Q: What makes Merlette denim so special for you?

A: What makes them special to me is how they produce their denim sustainably and thoughtfully.

Q: How are you planning to style your Merlette denim?

A: This fall I plan on styling them to be worn casually and effortlessly with a crew neck t-shirt layered underneath a V-neck cashmere sweater, silver earrings, black cowboy boots and a trench coat.

Q: What denim trend are you excited for, looking forward to in 2024?

A: As someone who grew up in the era of impossibly low skinny jeans (hello Frankie B) I am very much still enjoying the oversized comfortable denim trend and see this continuing into 2024.

Q: What's your favorite iconic denim moment?

A: My grandma in a pair of vintage denim and a Hermes shirt clamming on the North Fork in the ‘70s.

HANNAH ANDERSON, L.A.-BASED SINGER-SONGWRITER AND STYLIST

Q: What makes Merlette denim so special for you?

A:
Merlette's denim is extremely flattering! I often have to get denim tailored to fit perfectly; this denim arrived to me absolutely ready to wear. It's so soft and really easy to move around in.

Q: How are you planning to style your Merlette denim?

A: The denim will be perfect this fall with lots of cozy, layered knits and an oversized scarf. I like the idea of wearing the POLLOCK short through fall paired with a tight underneath! The options are endless!

Q: What denim trend are you excited for, looking forward to in 2024?

A: I love that oversized, baggy denim is in! I have been excited about this trend for a long time and will continue to feel this way even when it's no longer a trend.

Q: What's your favorite iconic denim moment?

A: I love a denim-on-denim moment. I just recently learned the history of the Canadian tux and was fascinated - Bing Crosby will forever be the king of this look!
