From bustling city streets to serene summer escapes, Collection 23 honors our past while stepping boldly into a new decade—infused with the majestic beauty and spirit of Rajasthan, seen through the lens of a 70s editorial dream.
Inspired by our founder’s first visit to India, surrounded by the grandeur of wedding gowns and rich tradition, Merlette imagined how the craftsmanship of these intricate garments could be reinterpreted into everyday cotton dresses—timeless, reverent, and full of life.
Merlette’s 23rd collection bursts with a vibrant palette drawn from India’s sensory tapestry: marigold like desert sun, zesty lime, bougainvillea pink, soft rose, sky blue, all grounded by natural ecru, capturing the color, texture, and spirit of India in every piece.
Voluminous tiers and cascading layers are crafted in diaphanous sheers, whisper-light cotton silks, and airy voiles, while cinched ecru denim and precise pintucks bring sculptural structure to fluid forms. Hand smocking—our tactile signature—elevates every piece, bridging effortless everyday wear and refined occasion dressing.
